Who we are

AirPazGuide.my is run by a small team of frequent ASEAN flyers — Malaysian, Indonesian and Filipino travellers who book LCC flights every month for work, family and short escapes. We started this site in 2024 because every "AirPaz guide" we could find online was either machine-generated SEO sludge or barely-translated copy of AirPaz's own help pages. Neither was useful when our Lion Air flight got rescheduled at 11pm.

What we do

• Test bookings every month. We benchmark fares on a fixed set of 30 ASEAN routes and update our recommendations accordingly.
• Read user complaints. We monitor Trustpilot, Reddit and regional travel forums to surface patterns rather than one-off horror stories.
• Cross-check the official source. Every fact about AirPaz's product, fees or policy is sourced from airpaz.com at time of writing. We note when something is our opinion vs. their published rule.
• Update content. Pricing snapshots, sale calendars and customer-service response times all change. We aim to revisit pages quarterly.

What we don't do

• We don't sell flight or hotel tickets.
• We don't ask for your password, payment details or passport.
• We don't take editorial direction from AirPaz or any airline.
• We don't publish content we haven't fact-checked.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you click an outgoing "Open AirPaz" or "Search now" button and complete a booking, AirPaz pays us a small commission — usually a fraction of a percent. You pay nothing extra. The commission is funded out of AirPaz's marketing budget, not your fare.

This is the same model used by every major travel content site (NerdWallet, The Points Guy, Skyscanner's editorial). It's what funds the time we spend testing bookings and writing detailed guides. We're transparent about it because we believe readers deserve to know.

The model creates an obvious conflict of interest, which we manage by:

• Saying out loud where AirPaz isn't the best option (see our honest review).
• Refusing to publish promo codes we can't verify.
• Refusing to take payment from AirPaz to write or change content.

Editorial standards

Three rules we follow:

1. Source every product fact. If we say AirPaz allows 7 currencies at checkout, we've checked the dropdown that week. If we say a promo code works, we've tested it.
2. Surface trade-offs, not just upsides. Every product has weaknesses. We write them down.
3. Update when wrong. Travel policy changes. When a reader emails us pointing out something outdated, we fix it and credit them if they want.
